In 2025, we remembered Jessica on her 23rd birthday at JessFest. We held the event at Leamington RFC over the weekend, Friday 29th -Sunday 31st August. The Friday evening began with Sports Starz hosting a fundraising Rounders Tournament, congratulations to ‘Booze on First’ who won the tournament.
Then, DJ Cedric Anderson played tunes until bedtime. Saturday, we had rugby from walking teams, ladies’ and men’s matches. We also had music from Nigel, Honeydaze, and Valley Road Duo. The very talented Angus Baskerville came to perform his magic tricks. We had an appearance from Top of the Rocks, teaching us how to play the drums.
To complete the evening, we had a walkabout with a stilt man and a spectacular fire show. DJ Chris W finished the night with us all filling up the dance floor.
Again, the support for Jessica’s Promise never ceases to amaze us, over the weekend you raised £4,000. Jodie Ounsley, also known as Fury from Gladiators, donated her book ‘Smashing it’ and raised £50 in our auction. Your fundraising will help us to continue Jessica’s legacy in supporting children and young people in playing sport to improve wellbeing and mental health.
